O-Shot

A superior solution for Intimate Health

What is the O-Shot

The O-Shot (short for Orgasm Shot) is a quick and painless procedure developed by Dr. Charles Runels, and has been helping woman around the world. Using innovative platelet rich plasma (PRP) technology a patient’s own blood is drawn to extract the PRP and then injected into the vagina and clitoris.

How does the O-Shot work?

The growth factors and proteins released by the high concentration of platelets in PRP in turn activate stem cells and stimulate cellular repair and regeneration wherever they are applied in the body. In addition, collagen production and the formation of new blood vessels occur and further aids in tissue repair. The PRP is injected into the vaginal wall as well as the clitoris.

Benefits

  • Decreased libido (sex drive)

  • Decreased ability to orgasm/Sexual dysfunction
  • Lichen Sclerosis

Process & Treatment

How many sessions are necessary can vary depending on the patient and their goals. A response can be felt within a few days but results should be more noticeable after 4-6 weeks and should peak at around 6 weeks to 3 months. We recommend a series of 2 injections to start your Intimate Wellness journey, an initial injection, with a repeat in 8 weeks.

60min

The O-Shot is performed in our office. It should take about 60min from start to finish, but we usually allow a little extra time. You may drive yourself home after the procedure with no downtime.

A small amount of blood is drawn in the office at the time of the procedure. Your blood is then spun in a specifically designed centrifuge which separates the platelets and the plasma from the rest of the blood. The platelets are isolated and then injected back into the anterior vaginal wall and the clitoris where the benefits are needed. Since a numbing cream is applied to the skin before the injection, there is no pain during the procedure. There may be a feeling of fullness within the vagina which should gradually resolve over the course of 1-3 days.

You may resume sexual activity about 4 hours after the procedure on the same day. An increase in sexual response can be seen within a few days of the procedure. Results are usually immediate with gradual improvements over time.

As each individual has very specific goals and needs, every treatment plan differs. This will be thoroughly discussed during your consultation.
